Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Hemet Residents Directory. Using the pages or following a linked search route means the user accepts these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the service.

1. What Hemet Residents Directory Is

Hemet Residents Directory is a privately operated reference. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, government portals, and historical collections associated with Hemet, Riverside County, and California. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with the City of Hemet, Riverside County ACR, Riverside Superior Court, the library, or any other custodian.

2. Lawful Rules for Use

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. The user must not use the pages or anything reached through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another covered purpose
  • Scrape, copy, or republish content at scale
  • Interfere with the service, its security, or its operation

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. None of it may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Linked Services

County and state portals, court searches, libraries, archives, sponsored search tools, and other linked services set their own terms and privacy rules. Hemet Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, pricing, security, or data practices.

5. No Promise of Accuracy

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, link, fee, office detail, coverage date, search result, or external portal is accurate, complete, current, or available. Records change and may contain errors, so the custodian should be contacted before reliance.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including a decision made from a record found through them.

7. Indemnification

The user agrees to defend and hold harmless the operators from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Materials

Original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is welcome. Reproducing full pages or systematically copying the material is not permitted without written consent.

9. Changes to These Terms

Terms may be revised by posting an updated version here. Continued use after an update is posted means the user accepts the revised terms for later use.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms, abuses the pages, threatens the service, or uses linked record information unlawfully. Restriction may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

These terms are governed by California law, without applying conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code Division 10, §§7920.000 et seq., describes access to many existing public records; it does not require this private reference to host, create, or correct a government record. California privacy obligations may also arise under Civil Code §§1798.100 et seq. and the DELETE Act provisions in §§1798.99.80 et seq.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent the law permits.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Requests for a government record should go to the custodian listed for that record, not to this private reference.
